Roma che legge

Abstract


The article presents the project Roma che legge, achieved by the association Forum del libro in Rome in 2016. We describe the origin of the idea of the reading week and the way in which it was made. The association has provided a course for teachers carried out in collaboration with Roma Tre University. Besides it has created a celebration of reading in the city with nearly 200 protagonists: libraries, publishers, cultural associations and schools which offered a lot of activities, especially for children and young people. One of the most important goal of this initiative is the beginning of a collaboration between different actors for a coordinated effort with the objective of promoting reading. The association is going to work in order for this network to grow and furtherly develop in the future.
