Abstract

In the first part, the article focuses on the services of the Forum Library of Zoetermeer, a city of over 127 thousand inhabitants about twenty kilometers north of Rotterdam, visited by the author during the 88. IFLA WLIC, part of the city's public library system, made up of three public libraries and forty-two school libraries. In the second part, the article describes the services offered by the NBD Biblion center also located in Zoetermeer, which supplies shelf-ready and metadata-ready books to 95% of public and school libraries in the Netherlands, along with a range of other bibliographic services, also based on artificial intelligence technologies.
