Le politiche culturali di Regione Lombardia a tutela del futuro

Abstract

Regione Lombardia believes in the economic, civil and educational value of archives. Archives are even more valuable if we consider their fundamental role as a connection between the past and the future, between memory and innovation. We all have a huge responsibility to protect the future and the archivist has a great social function: we must not lose the memory of the past in order not to repeat the same mistakes. Regione Lombardia leads two projects, one on the digitization of cultural heritage and one on supporting cultural institutes to innovate and network, which are the result of this new perspective on archives and the heritage of knowledge they preserve and pass on to the Next Generation.
