Abstract

The paper illustrates the project devoted to promoting reading for pre-adolescents called “Keep reading in the middle age: pre-adolescents in the library. The promotion of reading in the libraries of Lazio”. The project was managed by the Lazio Section of the Italian Library Association, carried out with the contribution and in collaboration with the Lazio Region, took place in the Lazio province of Rieti, between October and December 2022. Through the reconstruction of the legislative and strategic context relating to the promotion of reading in Italy, the contribution describes the various activities and the aims of the project and it highlights its innovative value in the Lazio region.
