Innovazione e tradizione a Venezia
English abstract
The article describes the renovation of the Venice Library Network (RBV), focusing on the renovation and expansion of the VEZ Public Library in Mestre. The main objective was to transform the RBV into a modern library network, optimising the management of resources and diversifying the offer of services for all citizens, with particular attention to young adults. This has been achieved through the creation of new dedicated spaces, such as the Young Adult Library in Carpenedo Bissuola and the new wing of the VEZ, characterised by innovative design and a strong focus on welcoming and interacting with the public. The project has led to a significant increase in attendance, demonstrating the effectiveness of the strategies adopted to make libraries vital and dynamic places within the community.
