Book clubs have been an emerging phenomenon in the last twenty years. The ethnography of read- ing is a field of research with a reader centric view – both men and women – in their socio-cultural contexts. Through their bibliobiographies, the socio-cultural and relational value of books revolves around biblio-diversity. The article tells the experience of the Volare book club in Pinerolo (Torino) in which there are citizens, members of the civic library book club and retired librarians. The systemic view puts to the fore the importance of networking in cultural activities, especially libraries, associa- tions and bookstores, within the educational community.
