Abstract
Lo scorso febbraio è stata aperta alla città la Biblioteca "Villa Amoretti", una succursale del Sistema Bibliotecario Comunale di Torino.
La biblioteca si trova all'interno di una villa settecentesca, che è stata ristrutturata e riorganizzata, adattando il seminterrato, il piano terra, il primo piano e un'antica aranciera (l'edificio che oggi ospita lo spazio per i giornali e le riviste). La villa è stata ampliata con la creazione di un nuovo padiglione interamente finestrato, allestito come sala di lettura. Il complesso, la cui superficie ammonta a 1.800 mq, è posto al centro di un grande parco pubblico.
In questi articoli vengono descritti ed esposti il restauro della villa, la costruzione del nuovo edificio e l'intera organizzazione di spazi, funzioni e servizi.
English abstract
Last February, the “Villa Amoretti” Library, a branch of the Turin Public Library System, has opened to the town.
The library is sited within an eighteenth-century villa, which has been renovated and reorganized, adapting the basement, the ground floor, the first floor and an ancient orangery (the building which today hosts the area for newspapers and reviews). The villa has been enlarged with the creation of a new all-window pavilion, fitted up as reading room. The complex, whose space amounts to 1.800 mq., is placed in the middle of a large public park.
In these articles the restauration of the villa, the construction of the new building, and the whole organization of spaces, functions and services, are described and expalaned.
