Alles über die Schweiz

Abstract

This article describes the study-trip with focus on the students’ activities from the 3rd to the 6th of June 2018. Italian students had the chance to learn and experience information about two of the most important libraries in the country: The Swiss National Library and the Münstergasse Library of Bern, known internationally for its projects with incunabula. The Swiss National Library collects all kind of resources regarding Switzerland (topic, author, editor, translator, or place of edition belonging to Swiss Confederation). The most important projects in which it is involved are: E-helveticat, The Swiss Literary Archives, Bibliography on Swiss History (in which it is involved into Swiss Confederation) and international cataloguing projects like the GND. At the end of the trip there was time to visit the Zentrum Paul Klee, designed by the Italian architect Renzo Piano. The Zentrum offers art exhibitions, a platform for music, theatre, dance and literature.
