Sull’importanza dei documenti di assunzione in carico dei libri

Abstract

The latest news introduced by the interministerial decree MIUR-MEF n. 19/2014 has been transposed by the University of Pavia, which has choosen not to record in the university’s balance sheet those “books which lose value over time” and decided not to proceed to their inventory-taking anymore. This news provides an opportunity to think about the previous administration ways of the bibliographic material. Moreover, it’s highlighted also the importance of those documents (i.e. inventory receipt, inventory register, accession register) which should be a preferred source for the knowledge of the university’s book heritage and an essential help to manage consciously its collections.
