Biblioteche e progetti Wikimedia: un percorso comune

Abstract

The contemporary library is embedded in a new system of connections that relates it to the most diverse cultural realities, inviting unexpected relationships and competing to creating knowledge through various forms of co-creation by the Web. In this scenario, cooperation between the library world and Wikimedia projects is one of the most interesting and prolific reality. Three important initiatives testify to this transformation: the birth of the Wikipedia Library, the #1lib1ref campaign and the publication of the IFLA Wikipedia opportunities paper.
