Abstract

Among the Pontifical Roman Athenaeums libraries that are part of the URBE Association (Roman Union of Ecclesiastical Libraries), we have been considering those institutes, which have created a new library building (or extension building) in the 21st century. Investments and service innovation are here analyzed in relation to the architectural project. In these cases it is possible to find the presence of library architecture trends in an international context.
