Abstract

The used book market organized by the public libraries of Verona has originated from the need to recover funds to purchase new books. We got good economic results. The important public success has also led to an extraordinary promotion both of reading and of the library. It was also the way to offer a new readership to books still in good state of sale placed at very low prices. This article presents the organizational details of the experience.
