Pordenonelegge: la cittadinanza alla lettura

Abstract


The contribution examines briefly the main features of Pordenonelegge, one of the most important literature festival that is held in September in Pordenone, a small and beatiful city situated less than sixty kilometres from Venice, in the region Friuli Venezia Giulia, with a poetic medieval center that is the also the strength of the iniziative. Most of meetings with authors, professional workshops, round tables and specific laboratories for children and young students take place in the palaces surrounded by beautiful and romantic courtyards. The festival, conceived and supported by the Pordenone Chamber of Commerce, through the Foundation Pordenonelegge.it, is sponsored by the Region of Friuli-Venezia Giulia, the Province of Pordenone, the Municipality of Pordenone and some banks foundations. Many italian and international authors participated in this edition, among the others Dacia Maraini, Eraldo Affinati, Corrado Augias, Bruno Arpaia, Andrea Bajani, Mogol, Javier Cercas, Marc Levy, Clara Sànchez, Irvine Welsh.
