“Evidence-based library and information practice”: quale futuro?

Abstract

This study aims to highlight the history, the present situation and the future prospects of evidence-based librarianship and information practice (EBL-EBLIP). Given the lack of knowledge of Italian literature about this method, the authors offer an extensive literature review, pointing out the basic principles of EBL-EBLIP and also the limitations that hinder its spread in librarianship.
