Abstract

The contribution briefly analyses the complex issue of the descriptive representation of the publisher’s name in catalogues and databases. The problem is solved at the level of authority control. It takes the case of Editrice Bibliografica: the publishing house initially used the name Bibliografica in 1974., alternatively with Editrice Bibliografica, which has become stable since 1982. The article shows that the preferred form is Editrice Bibliografica with a capital B.
