I venticinque anni della Biblioteca regionale Bruno Salvadori di Aosta

Ivo Zillio

Abstract

The article proposes a balance of the first 25 years of the Regional Library of Aosta, a modern space built according to the most advanced bibliotheconomic criteria, obtained on the structures of the XVII century Hospice of Charity. The library is also the network center of the Sistema bibliotecario valdostano (SBV), composed by about 50 libraries distributed on the territory. In this quarter of a century, the library has become a constant and authoritative reference point for students, researchers and the entire population. Over time, it has gradually expanded the range of digital services that, especially in this period of pandemic characterized by total closures and partial openings, have seen an increasing use. Among these, Cordela, the digital library of Valle d’Aosta, which has proven to be a fundamental tool for all those interested, historians or not, in the recovery of documentation on the Region.
