Carlo Revelli: una vita intera da bibliotecario

Abstract

Carlo Revelli worked for 41 years in Turin’s Civic libraries, climbing all the steps of the hierarchical ladder: from book distributor in 1944 to expert cataloguer, until he became the director from 1972 to 1985. This professional experience was the reason for his constant reference to the users, with their varied needs for information, documentation and cultural enrichment. This attention was also reflected in his researcher’s activity: Revelli was author of key texts in the field of cataloguing, appreciated trainer and active member of the Italian libraries association (AIB).
