Abstract

The article examines the library collection of the Philosophy Library of the University of Milan. For this purpose, methodologies used in unsupervised learning have been used. The result was the grouping of the different sections of the book collection into five clusters analyzed through the matrix developed by the Boston Consulting Group. The results of the survey provided the basis for launching a series of actions in order to increase the use of the collection.
